Research Summary

Dr. Wang is active in research involving smart materials and structures applied to nanomedicine, nano-to microrobotics, sensing, energy harvesting, and vibration control. Dr. Wang’s work has resulted in 78 journal articles and 40 conference proceedings publications. She holds 3 issued utility patents. She is associate editor for Journal of Intelligent Material Systems and Structures (2019 – date), Frontiers Materials (2020 – date), and International Journal of Mechanical Systems Engineering (2015 – date).

Dr. Wang is a fellow of ASME, a senior member of SPIE, a member of IEEE, and a member of AIAA. She was elected as a technical committee member of the ASME Aerospace Division, Adaptive Structures and Material Systems Branch. She has been a Conference Symposium Chair for ASME SMASIS 2017 and 2018 conferences.
